GlowWorm is custom-engineered to provide electric utilities and fiber-optic communication service providers with a simple monitoring and communication solution that enables improved productivity, service, and efficiency. GlowWorm works on the principal of measuring the power level of a single fiber-optic cable through the insulation jacket of the fiber.

Because it resides safely on the outside of the insulation jacket, it does not require the cable to be disconnected, cut, or spliced, in order to be installed. With this simple solution and easy installation, be on the lookout for the new standard in fiber-optic performance monitoring.

GlowWorm immediately alerts you to fiber-signal disruption or fluctuation before it becomes signal failure. GlowWorm is engineered to operate down to approximately -30dB, and is accurate to about 1dB (levels and accuracy can be increased further to meet more stringent requirements). Customizable alerts can be tailored to the exact performance-threshold of the fiber network to notify users of a loss, drop and recovery of signal.
